Sorrow (Dukha)
This cell is connected with the theme of “sorrow” and helps reveal how that state appears in the inner path, the player's reactions and the current life process.
Level of the board: Manipura, self-assertion and power. Row 3 of 8.
Meaning of the cell
The disciple strives to identify with the deity. Repeated failures bring sorrow. The player becomes aware of the existence of the Divine and tries to realize it within his own personality. Yet the separation seems an unbridgeable abyss. He sees how the problems of the first and second chakras again and again absorb his energy. He feels incapable and unworthy of the intended goal.
And yet there is a path that gives him hope. It is selfless service, represented by the next square of the game board.
